Priorities!

The blog has been a tough topic. I ALWAYS have material, but lately, I'd much rather read other people's blogs than update my own. It's so much easier that way, and I can do it quickly. I've also had some other major projects to take up my every waking minute (and sleeping minutes, too!) When I sit down to do this, it's never a quick and easy process. My mom tried not to beg yesterday when we talked, but she did say that she'd take even just pictures with no text. So here you go.

August 2009
The boys went fishing:

Grandma came down to hang with the girls:
Annabelle about 2 seconds into the car ride home after the circus

After the boys arrived home, Uncle Sean slept in Wyatt's bed. Annabelle was more than happy to have Wyatt in her bed, and vice versa!

We had just enough time in the morning to make french toast,
take Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Sean to the airport, then

get Wyatt to the pool for a relay at the County swim meet!

I took the troops to the zoo the day before school started, for one last hurrah!

The schule tute with all the first day of school goods:

My big first grader with a cheesy smile!

Okay, so I couldn't stick to the "no text" part. I hope you enjoyed! I will try my best to get September's pictures up ASAP! :)

Daphne's 9 Months Old!

Here's Daph this afternoon. Any guesses what she's going through?!
The look on her face says it all, and the bottle of Tylenol in her hands should give another clue. Despite the fact that I think she is not 'comfortable', she still hangs in there like a trooper. We have no teeth to speak of, yet, but I'm sure they're on their way. In one of the pics below, it almost looks like there are some there, but they aren't!
She's still the happiest, most patient baby around! She is not crawling, and I praise her every day for it! She rolls around in her crib, pounds her legs and swings her arms wildly (lots of times at the same time!), and screeches with delight. She's loving peek a boo, any interaction with her brother and sister (as long as they aren't hugging her with too much fervor) and just entertains us with her presence! She has finally taken to the johnny jump up, and goes crazy jumping in the exersaucer (I have videos...coming soon!). If she gets her hands on ANY paper product, we have to be ready to swoop...she goes NUTS and wants to chew, chew, chew on it. And, she gets really angry when it's taken away. Speaking of things being taken away, she now knows when the big kids take something out of her hands and she lets them know she doesn't like it! They are learning that they need to distract her with a "trade" item if they want what she has (and how dumb is it that they DO want something she has...it's her baby toy, usually. Ugh...siblings!).
Wyatt and Annabelle are the best big siblings. They are genuinely excited to see her in the mornings or when she wakes from naps. They enjoy sitting and playing with her and always want to help with her. It is so heartwarming. I had never even considered whether or not they would take to a baby sibling, but am so blessed that it is visually obvious how much they love her and have openly given her her place in our family. It is amazing.

Uploading 11 Videos

And I'm not done, yet! I have been overwhelmed by the summers' activites! There have been so many "events" that I have pictures and videos of, but not an ounce of desire/energy to get them here or anywhere else for that matter! I'm giving it a go today, and we'll see how far I get! I think I will back-date them (meaning, date each post according to when it actually happened), so happy scrolling!!! You might even have to go back to the July section to see them all!

Okay, now I'm done - for now! The girls and I have had a great combination of keeping busy, but laying low since the boys left. I even put up a tent in the backyard today, with the idea that Annabelle and I would sleep in it. We aren't tonight, basically because I have chickened out! But, it's still out there...maybe tomorrow?!

Championships!

This is Saturday morning...very early in the morning, like 6 a.m. I had to wake Wyatt up. It's a little crazy, but I understand that the earlier they start, the earlier the meet will be finished. The bigger swim buddies delivered a goody bag the night before. In it was a special t shirt, these glow glasses, thunderstix, and a water bottle/fan. Two out of the four items were great. The other two were most likely confiscated at the meet. Can you imagine? All those boys with water bottle fans and thunderstix running around? Silly.

The meet was two days long. Wyatt swam in 3 events on Saturday and 2 events on Sunday. It was a tiring two days, and then we stayed for the awards ceremony because Del Amigo had done so well. After that, we went to an 'end of the year' party at a neighbor's house (all the while, Matthew's now in Colorado for business until Tues. a.m., only to fly home in the morning so he can finalize packing so they can all fly out that night to Canada! Man, I am SOME wife!). But I digress! Because it didn't end! Monday we didn't have any swim practice, b/c it's basically over, but we did have the Awards Banquet that lasted until 9:30 p.m. Talk about exhausted. Like I said, I'm funding my babysitter's tuition. There's no way I could have put Daphne thru all of that!
