Maui, 1/11/10

Everybody was up and at-em at about 5 a.m.! This time, I knew I couldn't beat them, so I put on a pot of coffee and got the day started! Matthew and I took turns going for beautiful runs along a trail that goes over rocks, through the Ritz grounds and along the water (not on the beach, though), and then we hit the pool!

Daph still in her jammies and us looking a little pastey white!

Now this is the way to enjoy a vacation-lunch. On the lanai, overlooking the ocean!

Then back down to the beach!

Matthew was in charge of getting a picture of these jokers at the bar b que! He was trying to get candid shots...

Napili, Maui 1/9/10

The airplane ride over was completely uneventful. The big kids watched movies, colored and played. Daphne went back and forth between Matthew and me. She didn't sleep a wink, but was all smiles the whole time!

The kids couldn't wait to get to the beach! This is a picture of them playing, taken from our lanai!

I gave Daph a little time to try to nap, but she wasn't having any of it. So, we headed down to the beach to join the others!
Wyatt lookin' like he lives at the beach!

The girls playing in their matching swimsuits. I'm gonna take advantage of Annabelle wanting to match for as long as I can! :)

I just love Daph's expression in this one! Matthew called Daph a cinnamon/sugar donut!

Back to smiles!

Trying to get a pic of Annabelle, but she wasn't cooperating! She is her mother's daughter!!!

The sunset on Saturday night, from our lanai. Great start to a great vacation!

Maui!

We have been having a great vacation! I have lots of pictures, but a reaaaaaaallly slow internet connection, and not much patience! If I can find something that works better, I will for sure get some photos up soon!

Christmas Day

Merry Christmas!!! (o.k., a little late, I know! But you want to see the pictures, right?!)

Here are the kids surveying the loot!

"The Flash! The Flash!", says Daph.

The stockings were so full Santa had to put them on the ground!

Doing whatever they need to to get to OPENING!!! Now, get on with it!

open...

mmm...mmm...

She likes books!

Had to feel that fuzzy part with her mouth!

Mmmm...mmmmmm...Fresh baked cinnamon rolls (that were mostly baked!)

open...

Moved to the other room with the big stuff! Wyatt made a really cute book for us, and Annabelle is showing off her coveted Pink Wig!

All done opening presents, and Grandpa is spoiling the baby!!!

Play time!

Having a tea party!

From here, we went to Fred's to exchange gifts amongst the adults, then came home for a bit (whipped up a batch of homemade Mac n cheese - to honor Pat - and a batch of bread pudding) and then headed to John and Chieko's for Christmas Dinner. It was delicious and wonderful time spent with our family!

Christmas Catch-Up

Grandma and Grandpa arrived on Tuesday afternoon. Daphne had a dinner of mac and cheese (she wore a lot of it!), and then the obvious bath after!

Blowing kisses to everyone before going to bed.

Grandpa tucking Annabelle in!

Wednesday morning, just hanging out and playing.

The big kids are finally dressed...

Outside playing with the Aquapod! This thing is pretty cool! You should check it out!

Grandma hanging out with Daph, enjoying the sunshine!

Daph is finally dressed. This is how she plays - she love pulling the books off the shelf, which would be annoying, but she really likes to look through them! A reader at heart?! Only time will tell...

A little game of Uno after dinner.

Wyatt had to draw a bunch of cards, but he's excited about what he's drawn! :)

Christmas Eve Day and more of Daph playing!

The big kids decorating the annual Gingerbread House - Daph supervising in the background.

What cutie pies! Everybody's ready for bed!

Daph was even up late enough to hear 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. It kinda looks like she was enjoying it!
