I can't believe summer is over half over. I can tell that I am going to be one of those parents that relish the long summer days with my kids, and that I won't really look forward to school starting in the fall. I love the flexibility that each day has and know that it won't last forever.
Before we went to Washington, my friend Heather and I took our kids to the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito. It was soooo much fun.
Last week, Wyatt was in a week long soccer camp. It was 2 hours a day for all five days. When Monday came around, I was worried that it might actually be tooooooo long, but it turns out he had a complete blast. On the last day, the kids were encouraged to choose a country to represent for the World Cup. Wyatt chose Germany (with NO prompting, I promise!). We went all out with the face paint and stuff, and Wyatt couldn't get enough of it! I can't get over how grown up he looks in these pics...
The coach told the kids that whatever they brought, he would wear...Wyatt's bag had a water polo cap, a Darth Vader mask, a light saber and the rest of the face paint. The coach didn't really get to wearing the stuff until right at the very end, but Annabelle was entertained by the bag of goodies, as always...
